Musical Ganesha Series II (Abstract)

Musical Ganesha II (Abstract)
Oil Painting on Canvas
24 Inch X 30 Inch
Status: Sold

Presenting the second painting of Musical Ganesha Series. Have started working on the third and final one of this series. This one is depicted with famous Indian musical instrument Manjeera. The manjïrà (manjeera) is a traditional percussion instrument of India. In its simplest form, it is a pair of small hand cymbals. It is used in various religious ceremonies of India, especially bhajans

Manjira are usually made of bronze, brass, copper zinc or Bell metal and connected with a copper cord which passes through holes in their center. They produce a rhythmic tinkling sound when struck together. The sound's pitch varies according to their size, weight and the material of their construction. A player can also adjust the timbre by varying the point of contact while playing.

Will look forward for your feedback and inputs on the first 2 paintings of the Musical Ganesha Series I & II.

Lord Gautam Buddha

Lord Gautam Buddha
Mix Media on Canvas
34 Inch X 27 Inch
Status : Available

After few exhibitions in previous weeks it is nice to get back to work. Here I present the latest creation using mix media (Oil / Acrylic) on canvas a painting of Lord Gautam Buddha. Hope you all will like it.

The word 'Buddha' is a title and not a name. It means 'one who is awake' in the sense of having 'woken up to reality'. Buddha, means 'the enlightened one'. Gautam Buddha was one of the greatest religious teachers that the world has seen. His teachings expounded in Buddhism, are immensely popular in India ,Thailand ,Burma, China, Japan and other South Eastern Countries.

Lord Gautam Buddha gave emphasis on the purification of mind, heart and ultimately, soul by following the Eightfold Path, the Four Noble Truths and the Five Perceptions. This path included the right speech, understanding, determination, deeds, efforts, awareness, thinking and living. As per Buddhism, if one follows these paths, one could overcome desires, which were the reason for all the grieves and miseries.

Today's world can be a better place to live if we try to follow his preachings.
